I know how you feel. I call it the “back to school” feeling. Remember when you were a kid and the night before the first day of school you were super-excited, but also nervous at the same time? I know both feelings all too well. In fact, I’ve spent my who life (post college) working with startups, for startups and starting several businesses of my own. I fell in love with startups when I moved to NYC in my twenties where I got a job at a startup accounting firm as the first sales rep. Our target market was startups and new businesses and it took five years to scale it to ~$60 million in new business, annually. Then, I was the Founder and CEO of The Startup Expert, a coaching and business services company aimed at turning business owners’ ideas into reality where, for about nine more years, I worked exclusively with startups. I graduated from The University of Florida with a degree in Public Relations, and am a Certified SCORE Mentor, and Certified Small Business Coaching Specialist. I earned a Master’s in Entrepreneurship from The University of Tampa and won first place in the 2019 New Venture Expo with one of my businesses.
